Understand the site before confirming the solution

Offices, warehouses, factories, hotels, retail premises and training spaces each have different connectivity needs. This website helps you distinguish issues with coverage, capacity, interference, roaming and the upstream network, and prepare an engineering brief for discussion.

After your enquiry, project scope, local arrangements, equipment, site surveys, quotations and acceptance criteria must be confirmed for the individual project.

WiFi-HK is the commercial engineering brand of this website. It is separate from the Hong Kong Government's Wi-Fi.HK public Wi-Fi scheme; this website does not represent the Government, OFCA or any equipment brand.

Technology that serves people

Technology should support real work and everyday life. Clear explanations, usable forms and verifiable engineering methods help people across languages and levels of technical knowledge.

How is the knowledge hub compiled and checked?

  1. Start with official documents for regulatory requirements.Hong Kong spectrum and equipment requirements are based on OFCA publications and HKCA specifications. Requirements for other jurisdictions are explained separately.
  2. Sources are provided for technical concepts. We use formal technical documentation from equipment manufacturers and standards organisations so readers can check the sources themselves.
  3. Distinguish facts, assumptions and engineering judgements.Illustrations are labelled as concepts; signal levels, AP counts and performance figures cannot replace on-site measurements and agreed acceptance criteria.
  4. Keep a record of the verification date.Articles show their review dates. Equipment and regulatory changes require a fresh check; procurement and installation must still be verified against the official requirements.

Content is compiled by WiFi-HK. Official sources do not imply brand partnerships, authorisation, certification or third-party endorsement of our services.
